The Snowsport GB Selection Panel will be meeting in May to consider:
Selections to British Freestyle Teams for the season 1 July 2007 to 30 June 2008
Award of Start Licences for international competition (A, B and C level).
The up-to-date Selection Criteria are here: selection.pdf. Selection is normally held twice a year, in May and then again in the autumn around October. However the Selection Panel tries to maintain a constant view of developments throughout the competition season, and may make additional decisions in the light of late results or Calendar changes. This is your first chance to be considered for next season and possibly gain an advantage in approaching potential sponsors.
All athletes, including those already selected to the current season's Teams, must contact the Selection Panel at no later than Friday 11 May if they wish to be considered for selection or for the award of a Start Licence. Please give details of your competition and training plans for the coming season, and the name of your Coach if you have one. Also, if you have any competitions results that may not be obvious to the Selectors, please provide details. The Selection Panel has access to results from all FIS competitions at A level, and B level so long as these have been posted on the FIS web site ( and other results on Results for competitions at lower levels (e.g. FIS Races such as French Cup) may not be known and should be mentioned, as should any results from non-FIS competitions (especially Half Pipe and other New School events, not on the above web sites). FIS currently organises competitions in the following disciplines: Moguls, Dual Moguls, Aerials, Half Pipe, Ski Cross.
Details of other future events can also be found from the above website.
