The British Ski Cross team headed to Sierra Nevada, Spain for the latest World Cup this season. Training is paying off as the team recorded their most successful results of the season. The team travelled alone with no support staff unlike all the other nations, but they didn't let this affect their performances and proffesional attitudes.

Seasons best performances form the athletes with Emily Sarsfield, 24 narrowly missing out on the final heats finishing in 17th position. A day of mixed emotions for Emily as her time on the board suggested she was 16th (meaning she makes the final heats), however official timings placed her 17th, she later learnt an athlete had been disqualified placing her 16t, then at the last moment before the race the girl was re-instated leaving Emily 17th and out of the finals. "It was a tough day today with so many ups and downs, I really wanted to make the 16 to show what I can do, but there's always next time" Emily explained. Sarah Sauvey, 24 also had her best result of the season finishing 18th and Angus Morison, 26 placed 42nd.

The following day Sierra Nevada held a FIS race, Sarsfield again skied strong winning the small final and placing 5th, Sauvey finished 8th and Morison 24th. The British Ski Cross team are currently preparing for the next World Cup in Grindlewald, Switzerland where they hope to see some more great results.
