'Funding Opportunities for Coaching' guide

Sports Coach UK in partnership with the County Sports Partnership Network publishes a 'Funding Opportunities for Coaching' guide.

The Skiers Trust

The aims and objectives of the Trust are to promote, educate, coach and support - providing experience in skiing and snowboarding to a broad spectrum of young people, schools, youth organisations or ski governing bodies.

The Trust also supports those in education who are talented in any of the ski or snowboarding disciplines - to further educate and assist research into ski safety and the impact of skiing on the environment. Grants are made twice a year to schools, research students, armed forces personnel and individuals who fall within the aims and objectives of the Trust.

Visit The Skiers Trust website for more details and application forms.

BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need

Grants are available to organisations working with disadvantaged children and young people who are 18 years old and under. The organisation and project must be based in the UK and must be a registered charity or other not-for-profit organisation. There are four general grant deadlines each year and you can apply for grants for up to three years.

If you follow the links you will see many of the projects which have already been successful have been activity programmes running during the summer school holidays - this is often a time when the facilities are quieter so they may be able to accommodate. The commercial facilities would not be eligible but clubs based within the facilities could apply and benefit from potential new members.
