As part of the traditional FIS Nordic Opening the disciplines of Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined will meet for the first time this season from 29th November – 1st December 2013.

| ||Falun 2015 World Championship courses are set|
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championship courses for Falun 2015 are now all set, just in time for winter arriving in Dalarna County. To a large extent, the modified Cross-Country courses represent an updated, modernised version of the courses used at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1993.
| ||New Ski Jumping Hill in St. Moritz|
Good news for Ski Jumping in Switzerland. St. Moritz will be building a new jumping hill. In a recent referendum, 55% of the electorate accepted the initiative giving a boost for Ski Jumping in the traditional winter sports resort in the Engadin valley.

When the 2013 calendar turned to November, a number of FIS athletes started following a familiar fall theme: “Movember”, the combination of November and moustache.
