1000 mile roller ski trip
Probably a little further than most of us would want to ski in 10
days but just the sort of jaunt you'd expect the Marines to undertake. A
team of five is roller skiing non-stop from John O'Groats to Land's End
to raise money and awareness of the problems wounded servicemen face in
rebuilding their lives. Read more about this venture at http://www.rmrs1664.co.uk/
A familiar face at many of our events, Tom Jones of Euroski, has generously supplied the team with roller skis.
A new challenge for Club members
Club badges have proved very popular so here's a new challenge.
Photograph them wherever you ski, roller ski, walk, cycle or chill out
and send the shots in. You can email them to this address or use the drop box facility on the website - see http://www.londonnordic.org.uk/the-lrnsc-badge-challenge/.
Not got a badge? Find out how to get one: http://www.londonnordic.org.uk/home2/2010/10/12/are-you-truly-an-lrnsc-cross-country-skier.html
And for those going on the Club trip to Normandy next weekend ...
Have a fantastic time, shoot some great photos, take up the badge
challenge and tell us all about it on your return. The website and
newsletter [next one due out late September] always need new material.
We look forward to seeing and hearing about the trip - no excuses!
