Hello Dominic

Are you following a great training plan or are you struggling to fit ski specific exercise in around the rest of your life?

Or maybe you're wondering how to get started with cross country skiing?

We've got some ideas and upcoming events that can help ...

New snow training group

Next Sunday 22 May find out how you can best train for ski races on snow and explore how the new layout at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit can help you.
Yes, it's time to start training for next season now ...

Christopher Richards our lead coach is launching this group to help competent skiers develop their training and maximise training opportunities for better results on snow.  This first session will focus on measurement, intervals and training plans - the latter will be discussed over tea - cakes are recommended at this point!

To take part in this group you just need to be a member of LRNSC - there's no extra cost.  Not a member?  Join here.

For starters check out this article on how to maximise training for the part-time skier.

How to get started with cross country skiing

If you want to learn to cross country ski sign up for our beginners' ski trip to Seefeld in January 2017 - our trips always get booked up so do it now!

You'll get great tuition from the Club's experienced instructors so you'll soon learn the basics and enjoy gliding along the trails in the beautiful Austrian Tirol.

The best preparation for this trip is to learn to roller ski so you develop ski specific fitness then gain skills faster when you get on snow.  Our next beginners' session is on 22 May - book your place online now.

If you've got friends who want to try cross country skiing - please forward this email to them.

Get your tickets for the South Coast Roll

Ticket sales for the South Coast roll end on Saturday 21 May so if you want to join the Club group going to this unique event, buy your tickets now.

It's the perfect opportunity for a long ski high up on the Downs - it's a fun event for people on roller skis, skates, quad, inline, skateboards, longboards, scooters, heelys, infact, anything with wheels, as long as it isn’t motor powered or pedalled.

Newsletter editor sought ...

Could you support the Club by becoming our next newsletter editor?  Our current editor Paddy Field is looking for a successor so if you have, or would like to develop, editorial skills please let me know.

This Club is run by members for members and if you would like to volunteer in this or any other area of the Club's activities, do get in touch.

Enjoy your skiing and start planning for next winter now.
