LRNSC 2018 cross country ski trips - action needed

It may seem like the next ski season is a long way off but for planning Club ski trips it's coming up fast. Members who are organising trips need to know who might be interested now so they can firm up the details.
There are limited places on most of the trips so those members who register their interest early have priority when the time comes to confirm participation.  [And you do need to be a LRNSC member].

Here's what's being planned where the organiser needs possible participants to register their interest without obligation by 1st July [you can do this via links from the respective web pages]:

28/1-4/2 Exploring the Aosta Valley
A chalet-based, small group led by Glennis Dore, who knows the area really well, will explore the different cross country skiing areas of this scenic Italian region.

28/1-5/2 Obertilliach + Dobbiaco-Cortina ski race
We're teaming up with Alan Eason of Totally Nordic to offer a top level coaching week for all levels of skier with optional Dobbiaco-Cortina ski races.  The 50km classic is a Visma Ski Classic race and there's a 30km skate race too.  It's the chance to take your skiing to another level and race if you wish.

11-19/2 Dobbiaco + Gsiesertal Lauf
A hotel-based holiday organised by Paddy and Hilary Field who have led many successful Club trips.  You'll have the opportunity to discover the lovely trails around Dobbiaco and participate in the nearby Gsiesertal Lauf.

In addition there are two recreational trips to Finland based on Inghams packages where early booking is recommended:

25/2-4/3 Levi
Levi is the largest ski resort in Finland with 230km of cross country trails plus winter walking routes and downhill pistes. This half-board hotel-based holiday will be led by Debbie Carpenter.  Tuition is available at the local ski school.

11-18/3 Akaslompolo
This centre [aka Yllas] has an extensive network of trails through the rolling Lapland terrain.  You can choose your type of accommodation and travel route on this trip organised by Gerard Ollier who has led many trips to the area.

I hope this update has helped you plan the next few weeks and got you seriously thinking about the next ski season.
Please help our organisers by entering races, contacting them or registering your interest now.
thank you

SSE talk on future of Nordic skiing 13/6

Glennis Dore who heads up Snowsport England's Nordic Committee [and is a LRNSC member] has been invited by Iain Ballentine to outline her vision for the future of the sport, explain what SSE does and why skiers should attend their training camps [on snow and roller skis.]

Iain has kindly extended the invitation to LRNSC members so if you're interested in a broader view of our sport, do go along.
It will be held at 20.30 on Tuesday 13th June at the Mitre Pub, Craven Terrace, W2 3QH
