Spring is well and truly here, and with it long evenings to spend perfecting your rollerski technique! The ski season is nearly over, but no reason to stop skiing!

This newsletter has information on races, the B2B tour, biathlon news, press cuttings but first of all:

SPRING SPECIAL OFFERS

To celebrate the beginning of British Summer Time - and the start of our evening sessions on 17th April we are lowering the prices of ALL our rollerski classes and 4-week courses.

The idea is to encourage you to get back into rollerskiing, make it a great chance get your friends along, try a new technique (classic or skating), or get some more advanced coaching. We encourage you to book early to get on the session you want, as places are limited, and you have to book before Good Friday (April 6th).

Class sessions are 15 (previously 20) and courses are 75 (previously 85). We have also added our first course in Dulwich Park.

2-hr session: http://www.rollerski.co.uk/class.html

Alan Eason will be doing a Level 2 course at Dorney on 29th April. The feedback from his first Level 2 course has been very good, and if you want to advance your skills we encourage you to book this one.

DAILY TELEGRAPH

We have a couple of press cuttings - one is from the Daily Telegraph magazine, which appeared last Saturday. The text of it is extracted from a much abbreviated(!) interview I did for them. See http://www.rollerski.co.uk/nr039.html

The second is from Metropolitan Life, a magazine for members of the Metropolitan Police. See http://www.rollerski.co.uk/nr038.html

ROLLERSKI RACING

The GB Rollerski Tour and the London Rollerski Race Series have provided me with further information, which I have posted on
http://www.rollerski.co.uk/ns024.html

The first London Series race is in London on 15th April, and the first GB Series race kicks off at Huntly on 2nd June.

BRISTOL-BATH TOUR

I have had a lot of confirmations for the Bristol-Bath tour, so it should be a really good day out, and a great show of skiing strength! You are reminded that friends / support crews on bikes are very welcome. Let me know if you would like to volunteer as a First Aid person.

CLUB

Alan Eason will be doing the club session on 1st April (this Saturday) and the 28th April.

The club programme has been updated and can be seen on http://www.rollerski.co.uk/clubprog.html

BIATHLON NEWS

The GB Development Squad for biathlon has been announced, and the two UK civilian biathlon clubs have been acknowledged by the BBU as pathways into the sport. For more information see http://www.britishbiathlon.com

BIRKEBEINER CANCELLED

Bad news for anyone doing the famous Birkebeiner Ski Marathon in Norway. For the first time ever it was cancelled, due to bad weather. The first couple of waves of skiers set off, but were not to finish, as conditions on the mountain got too bad.
